On My Way To A Healthier Day-A Quick Note

I am always looking for visual cues to keep me on track on my journey to be healthier. I have placed a scale in front of the fridge so every time I open it I have to see my own weight. It helps me question whether I really need what I'm in the fridge for. Are you really hungry or just bored?! It has helped hold me accountable. I have also hung a goal outfit/bathing suit up where I can see it to remind me of where I wanna get. Well, I had a shorter range goal in mind on this long journey to a smaller, healthier me. I've found that setting shorter goals along the way helps, keep me motivated. This goal was a visual que in the form of a bridesmaids dress I wore in my brother's wedding over 11 years ago. This dress has not fit or zipped up in 10 years. I remember vividly what I weighed at the time of the wedding. So when I reached that weight I tried on the dress. But unfortunately my body shape has changed from then with the weight gain and it would not zip all the way up. I was disappointed, but even more determined to meet this particular milestone. And I am very excited to share that as of last week the dress fits and zips up comfortably!!! I am super pumped and more motivated to keep going!!! Check me out y'all!
